Tulsa International Airport Installs PowerPost EVSE

The two electric vehicle charging stations are each capable of charging one EV, but are installed between spaces so they can reach four parking spots. This enables the airport to reserve more spaces for electric vehicles.

 

“Tulsa International Airport is an example for other long-dwell parking facilities in the region, such as schools, health care facilities and entertainment centers,” said John Hipchen, Manager of Sustainable Technology at Telefonix Inc.  “We are excited about the growth of EV infrastructure in Oklahoma.”

 

The installation of electric vehicle charging stations is the latest of Tulsa International Airport’s green initiatives, which aim to improve the environmental friendliness of the facility. Passengers with electric vehicles can find the new charging stations in Row J on Level 1 of the airport parking garage.
