Konnectronix, Inc. Presents the Benefits of Workplace Charging at DOE Clean Cities Strategic Planning Meeting

Bill Williams, Head of North American Sales for PowerPost® Electric Vehicle Charging Stations at Konnectronix, Inc., spoke at the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Clean Cities Strategic Planning Meeting on Feb. 15, 2015.

The purpose of the Clean Cities Strategic Planning Meeting was to collect input from industry stakeholders on the U.S. Department of Energy Clean Cities Five-Year Strategic Plan, which seeks to reduce petroleum consumption in on-road transportation.

The afternoon breakout sessions promoted discussion of the Clean Cities focus areas, including alternative fuels and vehicles, idle reduction technologies, and fuel economy measures. During a session on plug-in electric vehicles and hybrid electric vehicles, Bill Williams presented the positive impacts of EV charging stations at the workplace.

“Many willing companies are becoming discouraged by the $5,000 networked chargers. Simple Level 1 and low-current Level 2 chargers, such as the Konnectronix PowerPost EVSE Product Line is a simple, safe and practical solution,” said Williams.
