Georgia Power Co. Launches $12M "Get Current" Campaign
The Atlanta Business Chronicle recently published an article outlining the initiatives Georgia Power Co. will be implementing as a part of their "Get Current" campaign.
Range anxiety continues to be one of the biggest challenges in the electric vehicle market. In January 2015, Georgia Power Co. alongside leading automakers, Nissan and Tesla Motors, launched the "Get Current" program to address "range anxiety" and boost the electric vehicle charging infrastructure through cash incentives and the installation of Level 1 and Level 2 commercial charging stations.
"Get Current" is a $12 million campaign that offers residential customers and commercial building landords cash incentives of $250.00 and $500.00 to install 110-volt Level 1 and 240-volt Level 2 electric vehicle charging stations. Because of their low installation fees, the L1 and L2 PowerPost™ chargers are the most cost-effective charging stations for commercial building owners to invest in.
